Don’t miss the jubilee conference

SNS was established in 1972 and has since then been the hub for forest research cooperation in the Nordic and Baltic countries. In 2012, the organization has thereby supported and initiated research networking for 40 years. The jubilee will be celebrated with a conference on July 3-4 2012.

The jubilee conference will be held at University of Copenhagen, Denmark. The first day will be dedicated to indoor debates and scientific presentations. The second day will give participants an opportunity to experience southern Scandinavian forests and forestry at an excursion.

The theme of the conference is “New challenges for sustainable forestry”. The conference will put focus on Nordic forest research, position SNS in the European and global network, and get scientific and political attention to the research areas.
