Register for the SNS 40-years jubilee conference

SNS was established in 1972 and has since then been the hub for forest research cooperation in the Nordic and Baltic countries. In 2012, the organization has thereby supported and initiated research networking for 40 years. The jubilee will be celebrated with a conference on July 3-4 2012. The first day will be dedicated to indoor debates and scientific presentations. The second day will give participants an opportunity to experience southern Scandinavian forests and forestry at an excursion.

Participation in the conference, side events and excursion is free of charge. Maximum capacity for the conference is 150 participants. Deadline for registration is June 4th 2012.

The jubilee conference will be held at University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Travel directions: Metro train available from the airport directly to Forum station. From here it’s a 10 minute walk to the conference site the university. The address is Bülowsvej 17, Frederiksberg. See map here.

The theme of the conference is “New challenges for sustainable forestry”. The conference will put focus on Nordic forest research, position SNS in the European and global network, and get scientific and political attention to the research areas (link to flyer).
